Life is made up of relationships where we blend our lives with the lives of others and that can get messy! Sometimes it is as if we forgot to put the lid on the blender and turned it on high. You’re left standing there paralyzed and wondering where to begin cleaning up the mess you just made. I wish I could say I get this blending thing right all the time and never forget the lid, but time and time again I fill my blender too full and in my haste, I turn it on high! No one in my life’s circle is immune to my blender blunders! My strong, loving, and Godly husband, amazing blended family of five children, my devoted mom, powerful sisters and wonderful brothers-in-law, and the beautiful, Christlike women I do life with all have the potential to end up the victims of thoughtless and hasty “frappe” of my vocalized thoughts.

The moments when I pause, seek Him, give grace, and really think about who is “in the blender” before I press purée, those are the blessed moments I see so clearly how perfect the love of Jesus is. When I choose His way, His love and His grace, the people in my life are encouraged and empowered to be who God made them to be instead of the victim of my thoughtless expression of who and how I think they should be.

GracefullyBlending.com is simply a blog about walking the path God sets before us with grace and mercy for others and ourselves. We can not give what we do not have. My prayer for gracefullyblending.com is that the stories, discoveries, devotionals and prayers on these pages inspire you to deepen your relationship with Jesus and revel in His love for you. I pray you are reminded how much He loves you and every human soul He created. I pray that you are equipped and encouraged to live gracefully each day.

The perfect love of Jesus Christ gives us the ultimate example to follow as we choose grace instead of anger, judgement, condemnation, retaliation, unforgiveness and bitterness.

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Romans 12:18
